FAQ

Making a purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. Make sure after adding to your shopping basket you click on the 'update basket' button. After you have finished your selection, click on Checkout and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We use Paypal, one of the most trusted names in online security. Your details are secure and will not be passed onto anyone else. We are happy to take orders via email or you can telephone us on 07989 742884 if you prefer not to use the shopping cart.

'Why is your postage and packing a flat rate of £4.95'

I use Royal Mail Recorded delivery for the lighter items such as cushions and bedspreads. £4.95 because I carefully box and wrap the cushions, and after its boxed up thats how much it weighs and costs! Recorded delivery costs a bit than normal post, but your paying for the security of your goods. For the heavier, more precious pieces like the paintings and the furniture I use a great next day courier service, which I still only charge £4.95 for.

Dispatching

We aim to dispatch items within 3 days of the order being placed. If, for any reason, we expect the turnaround to be greater than this we will advise you by email.

'What is your return policy?'

We aim to offer complete customer satisfaction and offer a 14 day refund policy on our products. You may return your item to us in their original condition, unused/unmarked, and you will receive a full refund to the value of the product(s). Alternatively, you may choose an alternative product from the collection. The buyer resumes the cost for postage and packaging. If you wish to return the goods, please contact us in writing by email within 7 days of delivery and provide us with your contact details and the reason for the goods being returned. Refunds will be made via the original payment method. We do not offer refunds on made-to-order goods unless otherwise agreed.

'Where do you get your canvases from - are they of good quality?'

Most high street and art shops sell canvases which are overpriced and look suspicioulsy flimsy. We produce the highest quality, hand built, hand stretched frames. We use the finest English Cotton Duck canvas and speciality Primer. Beading is used for that extra quality and depth in the frame. Beading is important as it prevents the painted side of the canvas making contact with the stretcher frame. This prevents the shadow of the stretcher appearing in the paint.

'I need to purchase plain, blank canvases, can you do this?'

We can make any quantity and size of canvas frame for your specific needs. Just email us with your requirements.

'I want feather cushion pads instead of synthetic'

Absolutely. just email me the details of which cushions you wish to purchase and I will send you feather inlays instead. Please note the price will vary.
